After all the disasters, Japan is still optimistic to achieve a nuclear free eco-system.

Japan has a new plan for a solar powered nation by 2030.

Japan is soon going to begin a universal solar panel initiative for all their structures in the time frame of 20 years.

There are plans to make solar panels for all residential and commercial buildings in the country.

We hope that Japan’s ambition to become reality.

Floating stadium in Qatar

The German architectural firm Stadium Concept has developed a new prototype for the FIFA World Cup 2022 the Floating Stadium.

This amazing construction was developed keeping in view the importance of maximizing the use of financial resources, and also it has an ecological balance.

This floating stadium can be relocated to seaside venues across the oceans.

Unlike traditional stadiums this one comes with highly efficient mechanism of renewable energy systems like the hydro-power, wind and solar energy systems, making it dependent on nature friendly processes to meet its energy requirements.

The floating stadium is structured on multi-levels and it has the base comprises of a floating disk.

The level above would have the stadium access, and will serve as the level of the sports pitch. Around the pitch level, would be the main structure of the stadium bowl, meant for housing the audience.

Above the stadium bowl, would be the stadium roof, which would act as the main cover for the whole structure.

This concept can be transported around the globe, which is a good choice for investors.

All you need to know about eco-houses

Today, everyone wants go green to save the world.

The eco-houses are designed in such a way that the energy consumption per house will be 20-30% lesser than a regular home.

Also, an eco-house meets certain guidelines for energy effectiveness standard.

On the market the eco-house demands are increasingly.

The eco-houses not only save energy but also help in the improvement of the environment by avoiding the excess usage of the non-renewable energy and the burning of fossil fuels.

If you choose an ecological house you’ll use less energy and avoid causing excess air pollution.

In U.S. the green homes for sale have a blue Energy Star mark, which is the government-backed symbol for energy efficiency, to ensure that a new home is energy efficient.

Eco-homes are effectively insulating with advanced insulating systems installed in various parts of the house.

These houses maintain the same level of temperature throughout the house while using less energy than regular houses.

The windows need to have protective coatings and newly improved frames that help to keep the house warm during cold days and dissipate it out during the summer time and fluorescent bulbs.

These homes really do consume 20-30 % less energy than regular homes.

Green Home made by Victoria University students

The architecture students designed a home, located at the Wellington waterfront which  packs 28 solar panels, 48 water-collecting tubes on the roof for a solar-powered hot water system, triple glazing and wool insulation.

This house cost 500.000$ to be built.

“We had what must have been two-and-a-half thousand people through, even though the weather was pretty blustery and cold.
The line was stretching back about 30 or 40 metres, and [on Saturday] even though it was pouring with rain, we still had up to 60 people inside the house at a time” said Nick Officer one of the architecture students behind the project.

Now this eco-house is in Frank Kitts Park till May 24 after which it will be dismantled, packed up and moved to Washington DC.

Green house built by The Fab Academy

Built by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC), Fab Lab House is a fully constructed project to provide energy efficiency and sustainability.
One of the features that impressed with this project is that the house is capable of generating up  to three times more energy due to rooftop solar panels. A detail of the construction are the plywood panels that are standardized (1220 x 1440mm) and used throughout the project in this dimension.
The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia is one of the leading educational and research center dedicated to the development of an architecture to address the global challenges in building comfort in the 21 century. Based on the 22 @ district of Barcelona, one of the main cities in the world of architecture and urban planning, IAAC is a platform for sharing knowledge with teachers and students from over 25 countries including USA, China. India, Poland, Italy, Mexico and Sudan. The students work on multiple scales
(urban, design, production) and in various fields (ecology, energy, digital manufacturing, new technologies), to pursue their  own research to develop an integrated skills to effectively in their home country or the world.
IAAC organizes the Master in Advanced Architecture of Vicente Guallart, Willy Müller and Marta Malé Alemany, in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of the UPC. Open-process inventory is open to students of the Master of Architecture PhD worldwide. The Fab Academy is part of the worldwide network of Fab Labs with the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms connected.

A floating house along Danube river

The Romanian Naval Authority took the opportunity and created a floating house also known as Pontoon Bedroom.
They got their inspiration from a vacation house that was located in the Danube Delta, residing closer to water and carrying the advantage of being mobile. Due to this advantage of mobility, it can be shifted to different locations depending upon the season and needs of tourists.
The advantages consist in:
  • No maintenance costs
  • Stability at much higher weight, even under the influence of waves and wind pressure
  • Ability to check the inside of the float and react immediately in case of any problem

Also extremely economical LED lamps provide lightning that are powered by 12 V batteries. The batteries are loaded by wind turbines and solar panels. There is also a heat engine generator for powering the batteries if they do not get enough power. Solar panels and instant gas also provide hot water.
