Zeversolar to launch new Pv inverter

The Chinese from Zeversolar reported a cooperation with Proinso at the Solar Energy UK.

The second biggest PV inverter manufacturer from China, Zeversolar, is now associated with a leading global distributor of solar equipment, Proinso, for the introduction of new inverters to selected global markets. This announcement was made at the Solar Energy exhibition that took place in Solar Energy exhibition in the 8th of October this year. There was where Zeversolar brought to light its latest portfolio.

So, starting this month Prosino will deliver Zeversolar’s inverter-line. Prosino is known as a global distributor being popular in 15 countries. This firm has distributed next to 1.4GW until now and employed has 2407 Qualified Installers worldwide.

Zeversolar comes in with a wide variety of superefficient string-inverters for solar energy systems that already got certified in the UK, i.e. single phase inverters with a nominal input power ranging from 1,5 KWp to 5 KWp and three phase inverters with nominal ranging from 4 KWp to 20 KWp. These inverters have a 96% European efficiency and nominal output power reaching up to 1,5 KWp – 20KWp. Because of all these, they are an excellent choice both for commercial and for domestic purposes.  Regardless of their power, all the inverts have either the G83, or the G59/2 certificate.

The A-3 auction in Brazil has been postponed for a month

The renewable energy sell-off A-3 is programmed for November 18. The event is a premiere for the solar energy, for which is the first edition.. The auction was supposed to happen on the 25th of October. 

The A-3 energy sell-off, the first sell-off in Brazil in the regulated market, that has been available to solar projects, was postponed for a month from the initial date set last July by the government. Still, this is the only modification announced by the government in Brazil, in the past week. This sell-off is announced to be opened to numerous technologies. The projects which win a prize in this competition need to function in 20116.

A number of companies have entered their solar project for the A-3 sell-off, in the past week. An example is renewable energy developer Bioenergy that as the local media reports, presented nine PV projects summing up 171 MW.

People also expect that solar photovoltaic applications will be a part of a different energy auction, the A5, which is to take place in December. The projects which will succeed there in the A-5, need to be functional in a 5 years period. Until now it was not announced if solar energy projects are allowed in this sell-off.

Until today, there has been no official announcement for a specific sell-off for solar energy, although there were signs from the government in that past showing that this is possible.

Solar modules will have new switch-off solutions produced by Bosch

new_solar module_switch-offBosch is in the process of developing new switch off solutions design for solar modules. The new products will be presented at the Intersolar trade fair. 

The new solutions for both commercial and residential applications are optimizes for module electronics, particularly module junction boxes and control units.

The automatic switch-off is very useful in hazardous situations. Another advantage is the voltage-free state, meaning that the owners can have the modules installed and not risk electric shocks.

In case of main supply shutdown, intelligent electronics in every junction box guarantee the self-regulated switch-off of the entire system and its distinctive modules. This function can also be called up with a control signal from an exterior emergency switch. The new Bosch idea is distinct by initializing an automatic following restart as soon as the problematic situation has stopped. By this, the production is ensured once the situation ended.

After passing a large number of tests and being used in the field, prototypes have affirmed their strong capability.

All basic solar module types can benefit from the innovative solutions. In fact, the automatic switch –off can be installed without rebuilding the machines, in most cases. Moreover, the new product designed by Bosch Solar Energy matches with a handful of industrial standards and codes that where formerly introduced.

At the Intersolar trade fair, where the new concept will be promoted, Bosch will also showcase new black premium solar module, the white high-performance module and the new frame concept.

Photovoltaic art. A PV sunflower was design for an exhibition in Austria

Paul Klee’s word to describe art are: “Art does not reproduce what we see, rather it makes us see”.

Starting from this concept, Konrad Feichtinger created a sunflower sculpture with ertex-solar photovoltaic modules.

The sculpture was designed in order to participate in the national outgoing exhibition in Austria, “Alte Spuren, neue wegen”, or, in other words “Old Traces, new ways”.

The innovative plants produce up to 1400 watts of power. This power, with the help of a control software developed by the Ars Electronia Center in Linz, is delivered to the exposition’s visitors Their height reaches seven meters and they are distributed over nine areas.

The visitors of the exposition are enwrapped in the evening hours by the flower’s colorful light reflected by it’s LEDS. The atmosphere there is fascinating.
Konrad Feichtinger says that the plant produces more energy than the visitors consume.

European Solar Days

The European Solar Days promote the use of free unlimited renewable energy source available everywhere to everyone to generate electricity as well as heating and cooling: the sun.

The next campaign for the edition of the European Solar Days will be held from 1 to 13 May 2012.

During the fourth edition of European Solar Days, which was held from 1-15 May 2011, it was demonstrated the increasing support for solar energy, with more than 8,000 events organised in 19 countries throughout Europe, attracting the participation of half a million citizens.

20 participants from 16 countries gathered last week in Prague for the second edition of the European Solar Days Annual Conference to plan next year’s events.

The countries who are taking part at the European Solar Days are expected to continue to grow this year.

Solar power in Abu Dhabi

The Court of HH Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has been equipped with solar panels.

The installation of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building was completed in record time by Gulf International Trading Group.

The installation on the roof of the building is hooked up to the Department of Electricity and Water Authority’s main generator.

This project further goes to prove the economic visions for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi 2030.

Monocrystalline cells with an efficiency of 20.2 %

Schott Solar it’s able to produce monocrystalline screen-printed cells with an efficiency of 20.2 %.

The record cell with a performance of 4.92 W has been produced in industrial format, i.e. 156 mm x 156 mm.

The high efficiency technology used by Schott Solar is the same which has been using for some time for multicrystalline cells.

Since January 2011, the company has only focused intensively on substances related to monocrystallines.

To achieve more than 19% efficiency it was relatively easy, reports Schott.

To get over 20%, Schott Solar cooperated with the Schmid Group and took advantage of their selective emitter technology.

Now, Schott wants to get started with manufacturing optimization to transfer the result to new modules.

The company will announce more details at the EU PVSEC at the beginning of September in Hamburg.

Ferrari will never be an electric car, only hybrid

One thing’s for sure, Ferrari will never go electric.

Luca di Montezemelo doesn’t believe in electric cars. He said:

“You will never see a Ferrari electric because I don’t believe in electric cars, because I don’t think they represent an important step forward for pollution or CO2 or the environment. But, we are working very, very hard on the hybrid Ferrari. This should be the future, and I hope in a couple of years you can see it.”

The new Ferrari hybrid will be more Porsche 918 than Toyota Prius.

The solar-powered yacht was named ‘Solar’ and from €49,000 (about $70,371) per week, up to eight people can feel confident about their carbon footprint, without losing out on luxury.

This yacht has the lowest fuel emission of any yacht in its class because it has an economical speed of 9 knots, when the diesel engines use only 30 liters per hour.

Solar’s panels run the hotel load, which it means everything from air conditioning to lighting, plus pumps and refrigeration.

The Solar yacht was built by  Edmiston & Company, it boasts a deck of 60 square meters and has  four cabins that have all necessary audio visuals, a spacious saloon in the top deck which is the entertainment area and sitting place and a huge saloon.

The super-yacht reaches a top speed of 18 knots propelled by a fuel that is organic in nature.

Also, on the yacht is a delicious cuisine where the chef uses only organic ingredients.
